November 4-10, 2007 has been designated as Michigan’s Safe Schools Week. The goal of this campaign is to motivate key educators, law enforcement, and other emergency responders to work with students, parents and community residents to vigorously advocate school safety. School safety includes keeping school buildings and campuses free of crime and violence, while improving safety and response plans.
This week has also been proclaimed as Safe Schools Week by the signing of our own Procla¬mation. Among the many activities planned for this week is a Student Safety Pledge signing ceremony. This ceremony will take place simultaneously with schools across Michigan and will be held on Monday, November 5th at 11:00 a.m. in the (i.e. classroom/auditorium/ gymnasium/outside around the school flagpole).
This week provides an excellent opportunity for us to renew our efforts as we continue to provide the safest possible environment for our students. Other activities planned for the Week include: (List Activities Planned).
